KONSERVASI LONTAR, KERJASAAMA ANTARA DINAS
KEBUDAYAAN DAN UNIVERSITAS UDAYANA
Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Bali bekerja sama dengan mahasiswa jurusan sastra Bali Universitas Udayana merawat lontar koleksi dari disbud di ruang lontar kantor Pusat Dokumentasi Kebudayaan Bali, Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Bali. Kegiatan konservasi lontar itu bertujuan untuk merawat dokumen-dokumen tua dan sekaligus memberikan praktek langsung bagi para mahasiswa. Lontar merupakan daun yang pada zaman dulu digunakan sebagai media untuk tulis-menulis. Naskah-naskah kuno, bersejarah dan mengandung filsafat yang menjadi koleksi Dinas Kebudayaan Provinsi Bali sudah berumur ratusan tahun. Sudah barang tentu memerlukan perawatan berkala agar selalu terawat dan terdokumentasi dengan baik. Kegiatan kerjasama ini sangat positif, disamping merawat lontar, para mahasiswa juga bisa mengaplikasikan teori yang mereka dapat di kampus.Bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk merawat lontar itu adalah alkohol dan minyak sereh untuk membersihkan, dan keluwak untuk menghitamkan naskah yang bertuliskan tulisan bali dan jawa kuno itu. Selain merawat, para mahasiswa juga berkesempatan untuk mempelajari naskah-naskah tersebut.
LONTAR’S CONSERVATION, A COOPERATION BETWEEN
BALI CULTURE AGENCY AND UDAYANA UNIVERSITY
Bali Culture Agency collaborated with college student from Balinese Literary Department, Udayana University in conserving lontar (manuscript made by papyrus leave), in Bali Culture Documentation Center’ office, Bali Culture Agency. The program aimed to conserve the old document as well as give practice directly to the students.Lontar is a leave which was originally used as a media to writing. The hundreds years old manuscripts which have been collection of Bali Culture Agency, contain good philosophy and historic story. It needs conservation periodically, so that they will be well preserved and documented. That is a positive program, in addition to conserve lontar, students also could apply the theory got in college. The ingredient that was used to conserve lontar is alcohol and lemongrass for cleaning the manuscripts and kluwak (a black fruit usually used as spice) for discoloring the manuscripts which written in Balinese and Ancient Java language. In addition to conserve, the students had a chance to learn these manuscripts. (PM)

D’UDAYANA L’Agence de la Culture de Bali a collaboré avec étudiant du département littéraire Balinais de l'Université Udayana en conservant lontar (manuscrit fait par un congé papyrus), dans le bureau du Center de la Documentation du Culture de Bali, l’Agence de la Culture de Bali. Le programme vise à conserver l'ancien document ainsi que de donner la pratique directement aux étudiants. Lontar est un congé qui a été utilisé à l'origine comme un média à l'écriture. Les centaines ans de manuscrits qui ont été collection de l’Agence de la Culture de Bali, contiennent une bonne philosophie et histoire historique. Il a besoin de la conservation périodiquement, de sorte qu'ils seront bien préservés et documentées. C'est un programme positif, en plus de conserver les étudiants, lontar pourraient également appliquer la théorie obtenu à l'université. L'ingrédient qui a été utilisé pour conserver lontar est l'alcool et la citronnelle pour nettoyage des manuscrits et Kluwak (un fruit noir généralement utilisé comme épice) pour décolorer les manuscrits écrits en langue Bali et Java antique. En plus de conserver, les élèves ont eu la chance d'apprendre ces manuscrits. (PM)
